PRIMS Functional Medicine

Portfolio of Products and Services

March 2024

Introduction:

PRIMS Functional Medicine is a franchise of Health Centers that offer products and services related to functional medicine and alternative medicine.

Its mission is to educate and facilitate access to smart, precision healthcare.

It has a vision to expand its Wellness Oases throughout the Central American and Caribbean region.

Problem:

Conventional medicine takes away the problem temporarily, but it doesn't prevent it. It does not look for the origin of health problems and attacks them from prevention. The person keeps getting sick constantly because they put out fires but don't understand why they happen. We blindly give our soul and spirit to professionals who trust their judgment, however, they are not sufficiently trained and trained to face the new health problems and challenges of today. There is no continuing health education for the patient or for the health professional.

Solution:

Guarantee access to health education at all levels through Oasis of Wellness, which allows users (patients and health professionals) to stay up to date on the latest health trends through medical products and services that educate and improve the health decision-making of each user.

Market:

In Costa Rica, according to data from the Ministry of Health, there are 60,000 health professionals in the CCSS, we will assume that there are 150,000 health professionals in the entire country. The population in CR is 5.3 million inhabitants, that is, only 2.8% of the population has knowledge about health. Both sectors (health and non-health) have a lack of knowledge, lack of access to reliable information, and a lack of resources to put the new precision medicine into practice. We currently have 2 branches, Curridabat and Alajuela and we will open one more in Escazu during 2024. For the following years, it is expected to have in strategic points of the country: Cartago, Heredia, Tamarindo, Nosara, Santa Teresa, La Fortuna, Uvita.

Next steps

The next step is to consolidate the distribution of supplements and vitamins. It is currently purchased on Amazon at a high cost, shipped to a home in the USA, and a flight attendant brings the supplements to the country when she has travel and availability. To consolidate the business, we need to register the supplements and vitamins in the name of PRIMS in order to import correctly and buy in bulk. To register a supplement and vitamin, the following is required: https://www.ministeriodesalud.go.cr/index.php/biblioteca/material-educativo/material-de-comunicacion/tripticos-informativos/7044-tramite-para-registro-de-productos-alimenticios/file
